Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Royalty For A Day (the “Foundation,” “we” or “us”) collects on this Web site, https://www.royaltyforaday.org (“Web Site”), how we use your information, and other information regarding our privacy practices. This Privacy Policy only covers information collected at this Web Site unless specifically stated and does not cover any information collected at any other Web site.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. In addition, please review our Terms of Use, which govern your use of the Web Site and the content you submit to the Web Site, respectively. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us through our Web Site for further information.

COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION
We may ask you to provide us with certain personal information about yourself, which is information that could reasonably be used to identify you personally (such as your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address, and which we refer to as “PII”), when you make a
donation through the Web Site or at other times. The Foundation will use your PII to process your donation, as necessary to comply with tax reporting or other legal obligations, or for other
purposes disclosed when you provide the information. We may also contact you regarding your use of the Web Site, or, in our discretion, to notify you of changes to our Privacy Policy or other
policy or terms that affect you and your use of the Web Site. The Foundation may also use information about our users, including PII, for internal purposes.

The Foundation does not use your PII for its own marketing purposes without your consent, nor does the Foundation share your PII with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. However, we may provide you the opportunity to opt-in to receive marketing information from third parties. If you choose to opt-in to receive marketing information from a third party, and you later decide you no longer want to receive such information from the third party, you must contact that third party directly. The Foundation may employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on its behalf, such as hosting this Web Site or providing customer service.
In addition, the Foundation has contracted the services of a third party to process credit card donations submitted through the Web Site. The third parties employed by the Foundation may
have access to this Web Site’s user information, including PII.

The Foundation may disclose information about its users, including PII, when legally required to do so, for tax reporting purposes, at the request of governmental authorities conducting an
investigation, or to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing the Web Site and applicable laws.

The Foundation may also disclose such user information whenever we believe disclosure is necessary to limit our legal liability or to protect or enforce the rights, interests, or safety of the Web Site, our users, or others. In addition, the Foundation reserves the right to disclose and/or transfer user information, including PII, in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, the sale of substantially all its assets, or other fundamental corporate change.
Notice to California Residents: We do not share your PII with third parties for their direct marketing purposes unless you specifically tell us to do so through an opt-in. For those California residents who want more information, please contact us at donations@drphilfoundation.org. You must include your full name, e-mail address, and postal address in your message. We will only respond to messages regarding our policy of not sharing PII with third parties for their direct marketing purposes unless you opt-in,  and those that include the above information.
